Julie and Julia Bookseller Contest

Enter the Julie and Julia Display Contest!

On August 7th, Sony Pictures will release Julie & Julia, a new film by Nora Ephron, starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. The film is based on My Life in France by Julia Child (Vintage) and Julie & Julia by Julie Powell (Little, Brown). The third star of the film is the classic Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child (Knopf), which is the focal point of both stories.

In honor of the film’s release, we invite you to participate in a window or in-store display contest featuring Julia and the three tie-in books. The display must be up for a minimum of one week, any time between July 14th and August 30th and must be accompanied by a marketing campaign.

Submit a photograph of your “Julie and Julia” display (featuring all three books), plus a brief (250 word) description of how your venue promoted the books (please include event details, Twitter and email campaigns, newsletters etc.).

Download photos of Julia Child and Meryl Streep + Amy Adams in the movie Julie & Julia for use in your display.

The bookseller submitting the best window or front-of-store display and accompanying marketing campaign (Twittering, web outreach, newsletter, etc.), will win a weekend for two in New York and dinner with Nora Ephron.

All entries must be submitted to Random House at knopfmarketing@randomhouse.com by August 31, 2009.
