Reading Group Center: What is your go-to book recommendation?

Jane L. Rosen: Anything by John Irving.

RGC: Pancakes or waffles?

JLR: Both, please.

RGC: Send us a picture of your favorite little black dress!

JLR: This is a picture of me in a Nicole Miller little black dress at a reading/fundraiser in her store for Stand Up 2 Cancer. As with many dresses, the memories they invoke make them all the more beautiful.

RGC: Who is your favorite literary heroine of all time?

JLR: Jo March from Little Women. She reminds me of a combination of everything that is wonderful in my own three daughters.

RGC: How do you take your coffee?

JLR: In bed.  My awesome husband sometimes places a cup of coffee (with milk and sugar) on my nightstand out of kindness or when he wants me to speed up my morning routine.

RGC: What is one movie you could watch a hundred times without getting sick of it?

JLR: Funny you should ask, I recently wrote a Huffington Post piece on my top ten movies to watch over and over again.  Check it out here!

RGC: What is your biggest pet peeve?

JLR: Slow walking. I live in New York City and visitors have a tendency to stroll, taking it all in. I can’t blame them, but I have to control myself from shouting “Pick up the pace!”

RGC: What are three things you can’t live without?

JLR: Ice cream, wine, and my laptop.

RGC: If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

JLR: I don’t want a superpower. They all seem exhausting.

RGC: What is your go-to writing tip?

JLR: Write your first draft with complete abandon. Don’t stop because you get tripped up on a word or thought. When you do just type in a few XXXXs and keep going.
