Samantha Harvey's Debut Novel Shortlisted for Orange Prize

The Wilderness, Samantha Harvey’s debut novel, has just been selected for the shortlist for this year’s Orange Prize for Fiction, the international award for the best full-length novel, written in English, by a woman. The novel, which is about a man struggling to hold on to his memories and identity while Alzheimer’s takes hold, is among the six titles shortlisted for the award. Previous winners include Rose Tremain, Zadie Smith, Lionel Shriver, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Valerie Martin. The winner will be announced on June 3.
