The Wilderness Longlisted for Booker Prize

Samantha Harvey’s The Wilderness has made the Man Booker 2009 longlist! The powerful debut novel – about an older man struggling to hold on to his past as his Alzheimer’s grows worse – continues to rake in prizes and honors. The thirteen books of fiction to make the longlist will compete for the 2009 Booker Prize. The prestigious prize’s past winners include Margaret Atwood, Salman Rushdie, Ian McEwan, Thomas Keneally, and J.M. Coetzee.
