Ian McEwan Wins Top Award (and a pig!) for Comic Fiction

“Some prizes offer fifty thousand pounds,” Ian McEwan told the Guardian today, “but this one comes with a Gloucester Old Spot piglet attached and I’ll be honoured to hold it in my arms. As long as it behaves.” In addition to the pig, the Booker Prize-winning author has just won the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse prize for his comic novel Solar.
