In 1961, Judith Jones published Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking and went on to build Knopf’s legendary culinary program featuring authors such as Lidia Bastianich, Edna Lewis, Madhur Jaffrey, Joan Nathan, and Marcella Hazan. Among the bestselling and prize-winning authors published by Knopf Cooks are: Sohla El-Waylly, Deb Perelman, Kwame Onwuachi, Nancy Silverton, Melissa Weller, Nasim Alikhani, Ruby Tandoh, and Anita Lo. 

Meet the Team

Morgan Hamilton is an assistant editor at Alfred A. Knopf. In her time at Knopf, Morgan has worked closely with authors such as Nancy Silverton, Lidia Bastianich, Deb Perelman, Joan Nathan, Melissa Weller, Alex Prud’homme, and Hetty Lui McKinnon.  

Sara Eagle is the associate director of marketing at Knopf Cooks. She began her career in publicity at Alfred A. Knopf where she worked with authors such as Deb Perelman, Lidia Bastianich, and Joan Nathan. Recently, Sara has run major marketing campaigns for cookbooks by Sohla El-Waylly, Nancy Silverton, Julia Child, Kwame Onwuachi, Hetty Lui McKinnon, and others. 

Sarah New is the associate director of publicity at Knopf Cooks, where she has had the privilege of working with many esteemed cookbook authors, including Lidia Bastianich, Sohla El-Waylly, Madhur Jaffrey, Hetty Lui McKinnon, Joan Nathan, Deb Perelman, Kwame Onwuachi, and Nancy Silverton. Prior to joining Knopf in 2019, Sarah was a publicist at Bloomsbury USA. 

Amy Hagedorn is a publicist at Knopf Cooks. She has worked with authors including Ruby Tandoh, Rick Easton & Melissa McCart, Sandra Gutierrez, Nini Nguyen, and Sonoko Sakai. She loves roasting chickens in her tiny kitchen in Bushwick, Brooklyn.  

Elka Roderick is an associate publicist at Alfred A. Knopf. Elka joined the company in 2022 and has assisted on the publicity campaigns for authors such as Deb Perelman, Hetty Lui McKinnon, Sohla El-Waylly, Alex Prud’homme, and Noah Galuten.
