Margaret Atwood Selected as 2010 Dan David Prize Laureate

On May 10th, Margaret Atwood received the 2010 Dan David Prize for Literature at Tel Aviv University. According to the prize’s website, “The Dan David Prize recognizes and encourages innovative and interdisciplinary research that cuts across traditional boundaries and paradigms. It aims to foster universal values of excellence, creativity, justice, democracy and progress and to promote the scientific, technological and humanistic achievements that advance and improve our world.” The $1 million award is shared jointly by novelist Amitav Ghosh.
