RSVP For the Toni Morrison Google+ Hangout

February 26th, 2013

On Wednesday, February 27, at 3:00 PM Eastern, Google Play will host Nobel Prize-winning author Toni Morrison in a live, interactive Hangout on Air and digital book signing. Toni will talk with a select group of fans about her career and her latest novel, Home. Click to learn more and to RSVP for this special event!

Home, available now in paperback, is the story of Frank Money, a modern Odysseus returning to a 1950s America after fighting in the Korean War. As he journeys to his native Georgia in search of his sister, Cee, it becomes clear that the Money family troubles began well before their wartime separation. Together, they return to their rural hometown of Lotus, where buried secrets are unearthed and where Frank learns at last what it means to be a man, what it takes to heal, and—above all—what it means to come home.

The digital signing is a first for Google Play—Morrison will sign books using a Wacom tablet. Google+ Hangouts are live video chats designed to build communities and make connections. To join a Hangout, all you need is a Gmail address, a Google+ profile, and a working webcam. Read more about Hangouts here.
