NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO WIN. Your entry constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and Regulations and the decisions of Random House, Inc. related to the incentive prize.

Eligibility: The prize is open only to legal residents of the forty-eight continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and the District of Columbia, who are at least 18 years of age or older.

Employees of Random House, Inc. or any affiliate thereof and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. Void outside the forty-eight continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and the District of Columbia and where prohibited by law. Contest subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Entry Process: Beginning April 20, 2011 (12:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) through May 4, 2011 (11:59 PM ET), (“Entry Period”), your e-mail address will be automatically entered into the prize drawing after you verify your understanding of the drawing rules and provide a valid email address during the online survey process. Only one e-mail entry per person, household and/or e-mail address is allowed. Multiple entries shall be void. Use of any automated or programmed entry method or any false e-mail account will void all entries made by that entrant. Entrants must be the registered subscribers of the e-mail account by which the entry is made. The “registered subscriber” shall be deemed the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. All entries become the property of Prize Administrator and will not be returned. Prize Administrator reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any Entry at any time in the event it is determined that the entrant has not complied with these Official Rules.

Prize: Three-hundred (300) winners will each receive an author-signed copy of “Double Dexter,” out in September from Random House, Inc. The winners will be determined by their time-stamped entries between April 20, 2011 and May 4, 2011 received by the Prize Administrator, whose decisions are final and binding in all respects. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by e-mail. To claim the prize, the winner will be asked to provide their full name, mailing address and contact telephone number to the Prize Administrator. This information must be provided via reply e-mail within five (5) business days of their issuance or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected from among the remaining eligible entries received. Failure to provide this information, failure to comply with any portion of these Official Rules and Regulations, or a prize or prize notification being returned as undeliverable will result in the winner being disqualified and an alternate winner being selected. Prize Administrator reserves the right to verify the eligibility qualifications of the winner.

Prize is nontransferable. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes will be awarded “as is” with no warranty or guaranty, either express or implied, by Sponsor or by Prize Administrator.

Release: Except where prohibited by law, by entering the Contest, each entrant agrees that Sponsor, Prize Administrator and their designees may use his or her name and likeness for advertising, promotional and other purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known without further compensation or notification. Neither Sponsor, Prize Administrator, nor their affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, or the respective officers, directors, employees or agents of the foregoing (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are responsible for (i) any injury, losses or damages of any kind resulting from participation in this prize drawing or acceptance, possession or use of any prize; or (ii) any warranty, representation or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness. If for any reason the drawing is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Prize Administrator, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this drawing, Prize Administrator reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the drawing, and judge entries from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to such action. Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Prize Administrator on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this drawing. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS DRAWING IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, PRIZE ADMINISTRATOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Privacy: Except as per the winners’ information discussed above, the personal information collected during the drawing will not be shared by Sponsor and/or Prize Administrator with outside parties.
